    4 out of 5 stars A Pleasant Surprise   August 26, 2010
    Chris in Kansas
I was looking for a simple OEM replacement when I decided to give these speakers a try. I am powering the speakers via an after-market Pioneer HU (Maybe 16 watts RMS) and I am very pleased with the results. Lacking in low-end presence, it redeems itself in clarity. As far as sound quality goes; as I've said, it has good clarity, and a surprisingly nice high-end. I haven't noticed an issue with too much sibilance (common with low-end speakers).

In short, these speakers won't win competitions, but I feel confident in comparing them to most of the factory upgrade stereo options; A step above ordinary, if you will...

5 out of 5 stars Baseline Speakers Done Well   July 10, 2010

What baseline stock speakers should be. I wanted to replace all my factory speakers without spending a ton of money. I used to be somewhat of an audiophile so $23 a pair speakers worried me, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are sized for factory replacements as well.

5 out of 5 stars Great Value   May 17, 2010

Great value for the money. If you're looking for a good sounding cheap pair of speakers for the doors of your car, i would recommend these.

4 out of 5 stars Pyle PL53BL as Factory Replacements   May 3, 2010

Just ordered these to replace the door speakers in the front of my 90 Civic Wagon. I upgraded the to a CD player in the dash and wanted to upgrade the speakers (factory were worn out and buzzy) without spending a lot of cash on a 240K+ car. I am no audiophile, but I would recomend them to anyone who is looking for a good value. They do not have as much bass as a pair of 6.5" DP Audios (similar price) that I tried in the same location but could not keep due to resonance with the door. I don't know if that is due to the size of the speaker or the quality, but either way it sounds better because of the lack interaction with the door. Installation was as easy as it could be.

4 out of 5 stars Can't be beat if you're looking for cheap replacements   March 5, 2010

I just replaced my blown factory door speakers with these in my 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I was looking for something inexpensive and hoping they'd sound better than stock. I still have the factory radio installed and these speakers actually sound pretty good. I'm getting a new head unit in less than a week and I'm hoping these speakers sound even better.

If you're someone looking for the best audio system in your car you'll obviously spend more, but for those who need to replace their stock speakers for cheap and still want good sound, get these. Seriously these are great. The bass thumps pretty good, definitely an upgrade from most stock speakers for cars before 02.
